Well its partially the fault of the stupid gamers that want ACTION BOOM BOOM EXPLOSIONS etc.

Its our own fault that we allowed mainstreamers to have the same hobby and now they outnumber the real gamers...

So I guess this is one of the reasons why they make Resident Evil games that are for mainstream people. They outnumber us.

You speak the truth. Casual gamers are a threat against the interests of hardcore gamers by games getting dumbed down.

I am not talking about "casual" gamers I am talking about mainstream gamers. Thats a totally different thing.  Mainstream gamers are a part of the "hardcore gamers" they dont want challenge (Call of Duty is in no way challenging  only the multiplayer is but thats not thanks to the game it is thanks to strangers you play against)

Mainstreamers just want to own the stuff that is IN and stuff than satisfies their need for simplicity.


You can compare this to movies.  Transformers is a mainstream movie even mentally retarted people can watch this movie and understand it. It works because its WOWing and is playing with the simple parts of our brain.   HUGE  LOUD  = WOW etc.

Then there is stuff like  Prestige or Moon etc.

The Dark Knight is somewhere between. It is a smart movie with substance but also WOWs its viewers.
