I think that new IPs in general are really over-rated. There are only a couple of games that really sell big, and they are usually established franchises.] If you are talking about system sellers, then an individual game will not do it, there needs to be about 5 or 6 games that are really incredible, which is why people say that a lot of PS3s will be shifted this year Just taking the PS3's lineup later this year as an example, the main (exclusive) games are: Uncharted, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2, Warhawk, Haze (non-exclusive GTA) If you look at those games, Uncharted and Heavenly Sword are probably the only ones that are going to make someone buy the system outright, but the others will tip them over the edge (maybe not Killzone compared to Halo). I put down GTA IV because it will sell bucketloads, 14M copies of SA were sold, and I would guess that about 10M will be sold before the end of the year (even with there probably only being about 25M 360/PS3). Quite a lot of people will get a PS3 for this because of those other games, that they want to play more than the equivalent 360 games
