and do the rest even own an xbox or care for ms?
OT: I think games on win 8 will just be a natural thing that MS doesn't have to push. just like with any other windows the games will be there, but now games will also be on tablets and phone and hopefully they will be on a simialar level |
Yet MS is the ONLY smartphone OS provider that is also a game publisher with it's own development teams, but they have not established themselves as THE gaming platform for smartphones with said development teams. They have a vested interest in making such moves, as they are desperately trying to grow their single percent smartphone marketshare. What better way than to leverage the millions upon millions of gamers that have invested in the 360 and XBL? They've talked the talk, but not walked the walk.
Many of us NOW know that the reasons for this may have had more to do with the Windows CE backbone of WP7. And now with WP8 using the same kernal as W8 many of those restrictions have been lifted. What better way to make that clear than launching an impressive version of your cash cow franchise (Halo, for anyone not following along) that shows off all of the new features of the new, more robust functionality of WP8?
