The money is still there, as well as the possibility to become a billioniare. The issue is that its switched significantly in how it can be done. Most of today's billionaires couldn't do it now, thanks to regulations. However, that doesn't mean there aren't other areas that one could get into, and make a fortune. Mark Zuckerberg is a good example of that. Say what you will, he's still worth a lot. There have been a lot of new billionaires to be created in the past 10-15 years in the US, but most have been through the least regulated entity still out there - the internet. As it stands, the average internet employee makes $100,000/yr. If you're smart, you can easily make that. I have enough ventures that, if I had the seed money, could have a few multi-million dollar ventures. But since I don't, they're still in limbo. |
Ahh very true, I guess you just really do have to get creative like Zuckerberg did. It's really a shame that really one of the few places you can make it big anymore is the internet. I really don't see anyone getting rich off of a brick & mortar business anymore. Too hard to compete with big box stores.
But you are certainly right, I guess it can still be done! Too bad I have no internet savvy, future isn't looking great for me to become a billionaire lol
