I think it's Microsoft's vision to be like a DirecTV/Dish Network/Comcast presence in the living room. Pretty much just offer up TV and Movies and, when you want to, you hit a button and you're playing video games. Hit another button and you're listening to music. Hit another and you can Skype or browse the internet. All of the stuff connected to your TV, all wrapped up in one single Microsoft branded package. The problem is, the 360 is currently too slow and clunky to do this smoothly. It's a slow evolution.
