Sony will probably carry on trying to innovate even if in some areas it will not work out well. I very certain we won't see a demise of Sony, since they have much power over the gaming world and other technology based areas. From people around I can tell the Xbox 360 is the more prominent console but the PS3 still holds it's own. And at the end of the day, if Sony goes bust then it'll be down to lack of interest in the company and it's products. And to summarise the question, Sony has a very vibrant identity, we all recognise the brand and thus show interest in their products., Sony I guess will only fade out if they make a significant mistake to rupture their business.
