Windows 8 will prbably sell over 1 billion in 6 months like windows 7.
With WP8 having the exact same architecture as Windows 8, I bet WP8 will have the most apps by christmas 2013. Devs can easily launch Windows 8 and WP8 apps side by side with next to no extra work.

I personally doubt that Windows 8 will be as successful as 7, simply because Vista was shit and 7 is not, so there is no reason to upgrade for most folks.

Doubt about Microsoft products especially software is the same as doubt about Apple Hardware Products, you can doubt whatever you want they will sell bilions.
Just Like Xbox, Kinect, Office,Windows, Surface,Windows Tablets and future WP8 Phones. Sure some wont sell as good as others in the business but they will sell alot anyway and Windows 8 will sell faster than Windows 7 because most of people love Smartphones look at Smartphones sales and Windows 8 is made with that in mind... Although i perfer W7 1000x we have to admit. W8 is gonna sell like nothing before.
People want Apple products to fail yet they smash everyone, 5M iphones 1st day. its just like MS.

Hang on a minute. Can you tell me how much and how quickly Vista sold? I only said 8 won't sell as well as 7 (at least in the beginning), there's really no doubt about that. People don't need W8, but they needed 7 when Vista was so crappy.
WP8 will be a small percentage of all W8 sold for the first year, 50m or less.
I recall quite a few MS products selling less than gangbusters to be honest... (Xbox1, WP7 and that MP3 line that is now extinct (can't remember the name))

no doubt.. Just as Mac doesnt sell gangbusters... it is what im saying, not every product for Microsoft or Apple or Google sell gangbusters but their top brands sell and the others products sell just well...
As for Vista i never used it and i dont know how it sold or anything...
