Yay, Celadon City, lots of things to do and get... Spurge can learn Submission (TM 17, risky, but powerful STAB). And somebody gives the Ice Beam and Rock Slide TMs... powerful stuff.

A good idea for Turkish (if you're going to give him the Earthquake TM for STAB) is to teach him an ice move. That way flying and grass pokemon who are resistant or inmune to Earthquake get destroyed by the ice attack.
