Haven't you heard the news? It's not about console wars anymore, only a few thousand gaming company fans around the world still fight over future console specs and other things only 1% of them understand or actually care about anyway. Console wars is so 2007.

All other people have moved on and participate in the real thing of 2012: Smartphone wars (plus emerging and promising sideshow: tablet PC wars). SP wars are much more diverse and spread, you can find the numerous warriors on almost every website these days. The companies do their part, sue each other, diss each other in ads and on twitter. This is more entertaining than Wii vs. HD Twins ever was or Wii U vs. "real next gen" ever will be. Also: SP wars are faster. "Galaxy S4, will it look like this?" rumors emerged soon after iPhone 5 announcement. Next up: iPhone 5s rumors. Many people who never bought a console before bought a Wii. These people will never buy another console but many of them will upgrade their SP every year. And in the meantime Foxconn workers blow up a few factories. That's the real deal, at least until we found another way to fool ourselves.
