Nintendo didn't give a shit about performance of the PS3 or X360 when they outlined the WiiU's components. They had their vision of the controller and how to get everything with 1080p into an affordable box. They designed the WiiU in 2008-2011 for those goals. It really annoys me to read people's pipe dreams about 150W GPUs and 200W CPUs in any future console. And when the PS4 comes out, it might at best three times as fast as the WiiU, because there simply is a thermal wall for consoles that no pipe dream of using current high-end stuff can surpass. And no, the WiiU isn't even close to 3.5 times as fast as a PS360.
