iOS 6- what do you think?

Its a good update for iProducts. However, every feature has existed for at least a year or more in WP7.x (facebook/other integration) or Android (everything else).

This isn't a one is better than other post, just that its not innovative by any means. Simply catches iOS up to its competitors. WP8 will likely catch it up to others and then what? Only Google to push the boundaries. How boring.

As an example, iOS 4 had an awesome new set of features for pictures and video that took Android a few versions to finally match (really only got there with 4.1). iOS 5 had Siri that while Android always had voice, Siri is far more natural in its capabilities (something 4.1 is close to matching... surely be there in later upgrade). Now Siri is the only thing not matched or exceeded by others and really that is just in terms of natural speech. I can literally do anything with Google Voice Search or Google Now that you can with Siri, however, Siri is less command like.. mostly. But Google has a better voice synthesizer, is arguably more accurate, and with Google Now actually knows what you may need before you do. Simply awesome.

iOS6 brought nothing new, nothing innovative. Just added stuff already in Android or WP. Its even still missing full features like the awesome stuff surrounding NFC technology as just one example.

Really what I'm saying is, previously iPhones would catch Android on hardware and maybe even slightly exceed but then always have a couple big software features that just weren't in anything else. Now its Apple this is following in every detail.

I love competition in the marketplace as it makes it better for everyone. But I feel like Apple is too focused on killing innovation through litigation and then not innovating themselves. All that will do is make the market standstill and we'll stop advancing all together. booo to that. C;mon Apple get back on the field and play some damn ball!
