Leviathan and the extended cut redeemed Mass Effect 3 for me, I enjoyed Mass Effect 3 for the most part, but I was very disappointed with it's nonsensical conclusion. After unsuccessfully trying to Make sense of it all the extended cut arrived and I was delighted to see the effort they put in to fix the endings and make them both logical, consistent and to provide closure, it wasn't perfect but it was still pretty good, I still had a few questions about the reaper and catalyst origins but they were answered in leviathan.
As much as many people don't like the current explanation of reapers I think it's actually pretty good, there's just something cool about how an AI gone mad situation escalated to a galactic harvest.
It's disappointing how the whole ending situation has ruined the BSN and left it's boards with a negative atmosphere made up of arguing and complaining.
Mass Effect is easily my favourite game series and has the most loveable and awesome characters, fun gameplay and a good story full of choices.
