Where have you seen that Jesus was asking to people to fight for Him when He said to turn the other cheek and not resist evil? Are you sure you didn`t misunderstand what you read?
I`m not telling who to believe in, but if you allow me, don`t push away someone or something just because they did or do wrong things, no matter what was or is done because you`ll be letting evil take too much of a control in your life - as in, what makes you deal with something or someone is not the good that you see, but the bad.
