Basically this. Nintendo fans will get it regardless. Techno-weenie early adaptors would buy it anyway. Unless Nintendo totally screwed up (which they haven't) WiiU will have solid sales (like sell-out) through the holidays and beginning of the new year. It's from March on when the hype and the early demand has died off that we'll see WiiU's true potential and when price cuts / Super Slim models / info on 720/PS4 would really have a meaningful effect on WiiU's sales.
Although I'm sure Ms/Sony are more interested in their own sales than Nintendos, so they'll do what's right for them, more than what messes WiiU up.
