Some liberals might, but this is an issue with a lot of crossover. Currently, I would say the parties are both pretty divided over this issue. Bill Clinton, Democrat, is the one that kicked the war on drugs into high gear.
This is kind of a poor example of a conservative position though, as typically, conservatives are more for removing government regulation. This is an example of government regulation and would normally be an issue pushed by liberals. However, like I said, war on drugs is an odd issue that has both parties divided over it.
Also, bolded is not true. Another exagerated stereotype you are pulling out of nowhere...

I may be pulling ignorant steoreotypes on conservatives, but at least on this site, i'm knowing the truth from you guys. But I guess the stupid war on drugs is a cloudy issue (hard to say who backs it).
Well you might agree, that the war on drugs is a waste of time, effort and money. I believes this law, gives power to the mexican cartels and brazilian favela gangs, while america gets to arrest a portion of it's own people for taking drugs (not really a crime!) If drugs were legal, even if it was just marijuana at first, prison population would fall massively and so would gang crime i believe. Most of the western world is stupid for doing this policy (a few European countries don't like the netherlands)

Few here are going to argue that the WoD is one of the most epic failures in American history..
I know a lot of conservatives that are against it. Not sure what the split is, but I know a lot are against it, since its done little to fix things.
