You can make a girl lose weight and put on some new makeup, but its still the same *****. I kid, but really, I don't know how much effect on the market this will have. Blu ray functionality is just not catching on like DVD has, obviously with the digital market's intrusion. Besides, those that would be interested already have a 360 or PS3, there are 134 million of those out there. If they want to redesign PS3, and lets say include a Vita or even a modified dual shock with a screen (what im guessing with PS4) to compete with Wii U, it might get interesting.
Other than that, I just don't know about Sony anymore. Honestly, if I was in their position, I'd consider retreating back to my roots as a TOP electronics manufacturer. And yes, even if it means selling the "PLAYSTATION" brand/division to help the company. I'm sure they can sell that monster to a big corp. like Google and go away happy. I personally am tired of Ipods, Samsungs, etc, I want the OLD Sony back, the 90s top electronics company.
