I'm excited. Loved both DA:O and DA2, and the way DA2 ended has me really amped for the direction of the story. One of my biggest problems with DA:O was the generic story, lifted straight from a Tolkien knockoff, but the inquisition by the Templars has so much potential for complexity and tragedy. It brings to mind the persecution of mutants in the X-men universe.

What I'm hoping for with DA3 is that they keep a lot of the combat improvements from DA2 while adding in some of the variety from DA:O. In my mind, DA2 was the superior game in terms of fun, but DA:O was much more open and diverse.

Also, before anyone starts yelling at me about DA2 being a "hack and slash" game, know that I played both games on the PC, and played both games exactly the same with a pause-heavy, micro-management style. I get that people might have had a different experience on consoles but I'm unable to speak from or to that vantage point. My comments are intended to be PC only.
