I don't think KZ4 would be a waste of resources at all. As a launch game, I have no doubt that it would sell at least 2.5m units, probably more.

KZ3 was a good game. Not great, but definitely good. However, its place in the story made it feel kind of unimportant, like an 'aftermath' chapter to KZ2. On the other hand, the ending to KZ3 had me pretty excited, as it seems things are going to change dramatically. With that in mind, I think it has the potential to be a pretty interesting title, which could in turn mean higher sales.

That is, of course, assuming everything is done right, including a good launch for the PS4 and solid marketing for KZ4.
