I have to say, it's awesome to see someone who thinks like that on here. I'm purposefully trying to avoid religion-related threads now because I end up getting carried away by the argument, but I'm glad to see that there are people who share this kind of ideological stance with me.

Agreed, it is far too easy to get drawn into these threads, and (I must admit) I have been drawn into threads here that are quite a bit less potentially philosophical on these boards, and I have not always thought enough about my words before posting.
As far as the viewpoint I mentioned (searching for truth in commonality), I agree with you there as well... in that there are amazing aspects of this world that can be seen if they are not intentionally ignored - be it due to conflicting idealogy or not.
