Nah. It's much easier to poison someone then shoot someone... well during intended homicides, which i believe are the cause of most murders.
It's also a lot easier to critically injure someone with a knife then you'd think.
Also, it's a lot harder to dissuade people from fighting back (even if you are the crook) with a knife... as few people actually realize how hard Knife on hand or knife on knife combat is.
