Releasing a large amount of information and trailers describing and showing off what their next generation consoles can do.
This would most likely confuse the core gaming market (aka the one's who buy the console early in the life-cycle) and get them to wait a while.
During this wait the WiiU may see reduced sales and thus reduced third party support making it even harder to attract gamers.
My guess we wont hear anything till E3 2013 at the earliest and by then the WiiU will have had a massive head start.
