when they first start out? Like before they become rich?  So are you complaigning that people arent generous before they have money to be generous with? And yes, most rich people are very generous like that.

I know what yo said about how republicans are more corruptible and im telling you that that is just crap and is not true. Both parties have huge records of crony dealings and are equally bad. I mean, look at mccain and obama, who do you think is the most corrupt between them? Mccain has championed campaign finace reform and ran on public financing, obama refused because he could make more money in back alley deals which lead to things like solyndra happening durring his administration. For some reason you think republicans are more guilty even though there is democrats have been the ones in power lately and all the crony dealings have been mostly coming from democrats lately. Heres a little tip for ya, the party in power is usually the most corrupt as they have the power.

Also, just think about your little speal there about how money in politics is being wasted as people become homeless and unemployed.  What do you think happens to that money that is being spent, is it just going straight to the trash can, or maybe it is paying for ads and campaign staffers that create tons of jobs. How many people do you think have jobs because of get out to vot efforts or business that thrive from making signs and bumper stickers? The money being spent is creating jobs buddy.

The reason i accuse you of having watched propaganda is because your understanding of politics and issues seems to be completely one sided. Honestly, if you want to understand something you have to look at all the options.  If two people have a disagreement you dont just listen to one side and the agree the other person was wrong, you have to listen to both sides of the story. From the way you talk, it doesnt seem like you understand both sides at all. It seems like you listened to one side and decided you agreed with it.

Personally, im a centrist. Im not a republican or a democrat and i tend to look at both sides of the argument. There are areas that i think republicans are right and there areas that i think democrats are right, but neither side is right on every issue.

I spose you mean everywhere then, with the corruption then, I mean look at Margaret Thatcher by 1989/90. She was truely power hungry, so was Tony Blair by the last year of his office (both PM for 11 years!), and it's worse in dictatorships too, US presidents (both parties) can be corrupt, but is nothing even when compared to any dictator. Sorry, I just don't trust the Republicans or the tea party.  So, to change the country we are talking about, but i was wrong. Corruption is worldwide, when it comes to politics. You are right, power corrupts, money alone does not.

You say these costly campaigns create jobs, but for how long? They can't last for more than a few months, I doubt they are anything more than a season job like farming. Major elections are only every 4 years. You can't survive on nothing for 3 and a half years!

I admit, I am biased but aren't most people in politics? I know i am only one person, but you have very biased media in america like fox news and people just believe what they say (is that not propaganda itself?), if they were not associated with republicans, I might bother to see there opinion and policies (which haven't really been mentioned in either campaigns)

Out of those 2 parties, i pick democrats, although i'm of a libertarian on some issues, although libertarians are not big yet. But, i accept your opinion

It's true that major elections are only every four years, but this is donated money that are supplying jobs for some people that normally wouldn't have them.  Plus, it stimulates local businesses and what not.  Basically, my point is that the money being spent definitely isn't hurting anybody, it is only helping.  If the money wasn't being spent it would just be sitting in peoples bank accounts.

I agree, fox news is very biased, as is msnbc, and sadly enough people buy into that bias.  Myself, I tend to like CNN, they seem to have a pretty good unbiased approach, with both sides fairly equally represented.  I also agree that policy is pretty skimpy in the campaigns, sadly enough.

Thats cool you pick democrats, there is no problem with that.  My point is that believing in stereotypes like republicans are more corrupt leads to flawed understanding of things.  Also, rejecting ideas and solutions from people just because they are coming from a conservative (republican) just leads to lack of understanding on the situation.  Being informed on both sides can only help you justify and apreciate your own position all the more.  good luck to ya.

I hope realise you i am not actually american, i just tend to follow it's politics. And if I was I would only pick Obama, just to keep Romney out! Republicans have had some decent presidents, but not out of these lot now.

I think for now, I will try to ignore political ideology and see if anyone at all, can find a solutions to fix this bad economy, as "both" sides have not really got one, at least not yet. Thanks, for the debate and thanks for enlighting me.

Finally, maybe some socialist policies just don't work like very high taxes (france), to be honest I don't mind charging high rates that I wouldn't want to pay!

Just like how some conservative policies like America's war on drugs clearly are not stopping drug trade or gangs
