It's not really pushing them though. This was all incremental updates based on current tech (and missing some new tech features). I assumed they'd have something new and different to bring to the mobile space but it was all fairly predictable stuff and in some ways was them playing catch up. Even the 4S launch which a number of tech heads thought was disappointing had Siri to show off.

I didn't say any of it was new, in fact I specifically said it wasn't. But its a monster seller and that alone forces the competition to continue to be the innovators and bring the new shit.
