Update your data :
Hyperdimension Neptune JP 75K US 162K EU 36K
Atelier Rorona JP 79K US 145K EU 33K
Atelier Totori JP 209K US 69K EU 25K
Disgaea 4 JP 138K US 168K EU 54K
The West is a GOLD MINE for NISA. Their game are designed to profit from a limited fanbase within Japan, so despite the localisation costs the western sales must drive profits up quite a lot. Games like Hyperdimension Neptune or Atelier aren't graphically outstanding and NISA almost never advertise them (at least here in Europe) but they built a faithful fanbase of folks who like the character design, the gameplay, the humor etc. So I believe it's actually quite a solid business.

where did u get those numbers from? :o i mean, it'd be great if they sold as much but vgc tells different, and i've never seen official statements about sales (even though i've never actually looked for them, tbh)

This is VGC database. I've just checked. The European sales are especially interesting, because Hyperdimension Neptunia and Atelier Totori for example are selling more in 2012 than in 2011, meaning that the word of mouth is extremely positive and that it's just the start for NISA's business on the continent. And shame VGC has been lazy enough not to track Hyperdimension Neptune Mk2 and Atelier Meruru...
