I'd recommend it if you get the time (or maybe as part of the HD Collection, if you like the series).

Most people I talk to rate it the highest of the 3 (and often the best platformer on the PS2).

Certainly it's the most traditional.  And for its time, I found it breathtaking to explore this load-free open world that looked really, really stunning.  Aside from that, the platforming is solid and the collecting is there, so there's always plenty to do.  Story is quite interesting as well!
