I can see what you're trying to say, but we've only really gotten 1 gameplay video with very little enemies.  You can't make a final judgement based on that alone.  Onto a different route, some guy mentioned A.I getting on their knees begging being unique to this game.  When in fact I found the same A.I reaction in Assassins creed when the main player picks off both his friends. But yeah this A.I looks pretty good. Anything is better than the A.I Fallout3/NV had. On a side note I want to make a thread about stupid crap A.I does now.

We've had the E3 playthrough as well. It's the same part of the game but it plays out completly differently

(I'm not sure if when you say " only really gotten 1" you're actually referring to the fact that we've only seen one part of the game. If that's the case then disregard this, but i thought i'd mention it just in case :)).

I was completly blown away by the AI personally. Not so much in the way of "look at all the ways they can out smart the player" or "look at how effective they are at playing the game" but they just seem so much more like real people in comparison to anything else i've played. I think it's mainly to do with the contextual dialouge.

Maybe it could be argued that saying  " the NPC's are impressive" as opposed to "the AI is impressive" is more accurate. Since i think it's a combination of the AI, dialouge and animation that seems to make them so lifelike. (Well lifelike in my eyes anyway).

Yeah what I meant was it's in a more controlled enviroment.  Whereas when players actually get their hands on the game the A.I might not react quite as smart in every situation.  I'm going to agree and lean towards the mix of everything is more accurate.  The problem is, the only words I heard for the most part was "Blank."  "Motherblanker." and something mumbled.  In terms of dialogue many other games provide more dialogue to the NPCs.  Of course that could just be this particular situation and we could see far more dialogue.  I know in the video in the beginning of this thread I heard something along the lines of a covnersation "Did you hear that?"  Then the other NPC responds reassuring the other one.  Though that isn't uncommon and is in Batman: Arkham City, and also in Fallout/Elder scroll games.  I found it nice how the NPC hid next to the door and ambushed the player with a pipe as he was running through the door. Don't see sneak attacks done too properly anymore.  Shows that not all A.I in this game acts as stupid as the molotov guy in the video in the beginning of the thread.  The pipe guy actually used some brains.  I like the animation for the most part.  Though I saw some flaws.  Can't make everything perfect though so it's excusable. Looks like it is shaping up to be a good game for those who like the genre.
