After watching that bit again, I have to agree. It has to be noted that the enemy AI did in fact run initially when he saw Joel had a gun. That's a believable action. When his Molotov cocktail counter-attack fails, he's basically cornered, and rushing the enemy with the gun is the only real course of action. Again, believable.
Honestly, focusing on the AI in a second watch-through made me more impressed, such as when one of the enemies said "let's split up" while searching, or when one told the other to flank Joel's position. I also liked when one instructed the other to shoot Joel while he held him and the other yelled back to "hold him still". The attention to detail they've put in this game is phenominal.
