I have the original Fire and had no issues.

 

It will also have some new feature similar to iPhone/Pad Gamecenter, where it tracks achievements and high scores.

I think I am getting this for myself this year.

i'll take that as an endorcement.  seems like the perfect price point for the features i'm looking for.  ipad seems cool and all but i just don't have $500 worth of shit i want to do on a tablet.  ..also i'm pretty invested in amazon's cloud music player.  i assume that works well on the fire, my iphone ap kinda sucks truth be told.
