I didn't thought about that, but importing japanese games could be a big plus. Stupid Nintendo introducing region-locking.

Hmm, could homebrewers activate the additional puzzles that the japanese have?

Don't know how that works but I'd guess that you need the Japanese game to do that, or perhaps a modified copy of it.
