Man, the rest of the industry greatly disagrees. Oh well, to each their own, but I doubt you'll be right about either this or the Uncharted series.
OT: While you are a more extreme hype artists than myslef Aldro ( Regardless, it does plenty to offer a twist on things done before it, but it also warns me to take a very needed media blackout before I see too much. |
I really really really believe ND isn't going to spoil too much. I mean think about
Thus far we've seen =>
Reveal trailer with a hotel room and the characters etc. We know zombies (sort of) are in it.
Then we have the E3 demo, gameplay showcasing AI and etc.
Then we have a cutscene of someone named Bill.
We have a ambush video.
We have them driving on the road and listening to music.
Now, I almost believe ALL of this plays right after each other. Music -> Ambush -> Demo / Demo 2. What we've seen is basically nothing! (Unlike UC3 that had Boat, London, E3 video of Plane.., horse, Chateu : hell they showcased EVERYTHING (rightfully so it was epic as fuck XD). But they seem much more careful about what they show. So I really don't feel worried. Hell I spoiled UC3 big time but I still loved the fucking shit out of it XD.
As for that God of War guy: He just jumps in at every chance to bash ND because UC is pretty much more popular than GoW now. Real shame because I truly love both games and whereas in the past I have been able to say mhm its his opinion -> This is just utter bullshit. Did the guy even watch the video? The GAMEPLAY IS what makes this so breath taking in my opinion and this is one of the moments where I have never ever disagreed so badly. With all due respect: God of War that I love deeply, has had the exact same gameplay for the 5 games seriously and only Ascension is looking to make a few changes >_>. QTE's over what ND offer with Control over setpieces still loses in terms of immersion. Just sending Drake to the right to catch that box as he falls down to the Rub Al Khali gives you more control than pressing X to have Kratos whip his blade onto one of Poseidons minions.
Each to his own, I guess.

), I can feel you on the anticipation of this title. What this extended demo essentially does is show just how unscripted the game can be (though there's no denying that, like any other game, some stuff will be repeated. Just the way low memory and bottlenecking works when creating games, it's never 100% dynamic - not even on PC.
