Though, they looked slightly more sedan-like than they did hatchback like. Cut to today, and I think the European influence is clear. With hatchbacks being significantly more popular than sedans, it would seem reasonable to expect the design of a current vehicle to reflect that. |
Between the leaky mid 90s hatchback, and the tendency to have your back window smashed if you keep anything back there, I'm not a big fan of hatchbacks ... Plus they're ugly as sin.
For some people they're perfectly practical, but most people rarely use the space and there are some downsides.
