This game looked amazing before Final Fantasy XIII came out. Granted, it's not all about the graphics, but I'm curious why people have hyped this game so much. Please be advised that I don't have ill feelings toward this game, I just don't feel the same excitement that I did a while back.
While I was looking at the battle system, I could not stop comparing/constrasting it to Dragon's Dogma. It did not impress, but I'm willing to over look it if it has a good story.
However, if the story is anything like FFXIII story, then I don't know. FFXIII linear story progressing DID make sense to me; however, I could not develop any attachment to any of the characters up to the end of the story; It was a flashy ending, but the characters failed to resonate with me.
The Cinematic movies look nice, and the setting looks promising. I even like the fact that the main character looks Asian, but there is no denying it for me. I don't care about this game as much as I used to. I would still buy it when It comes out, but take it this way. FFXIII-2 dropped to $20 dollars at one time and I was not temped to buy it.
I don't think Square Enix is dead to me, but I've stopped expecting the next FFVI & FFVII from their future products.
