I made a list of like 30+ characters that I felt should be included in this game because at various points they've all had so much to do with the Playstation brand, before they started announcing proper (but after the initial 6).
To their credit, 17 of the 20 announced by Superbot so far were on my list. The three that weren't were Big Daddy, Fat Princess & Evil Cole (I'd just roll them into one character, have him change stances or something).
There's still so many glaring absences - Crash, Spyro, Cloud/Lightning, someone from Resident Evil, someone from Grand Theft Auto, etc. etc. But I think they're doing a pretty good job with what they have access too.
I'm still secretly wishing for some of the more obscure stuff. Gabe Logan is my current push. Someone from Battle Arena Toshinden would make me really happy too (I think people under-estimate how important that was to the early PS1 marketing push). Someone from a playstation-RPG - Rudy from Wild ARMs, Ryu from Breath of Fire or Dart from Legend of Dragoon would be awesome. Finally, another one of the obscure PS1 platformers - Klonoa, Robbit (Jumping Flash) or Gex would be pretty neat.
