Why Xbox720 and PS4 will be much more powerful than WiiU

The DS was almost "a generation behind" the PSP, The 3DS is almost "a generation behind" the PS-Vita, and the Wii was almost "a generation behind" the HD consoles. The outcome of these "console wars" was determined more by which system launched first, was able to attract better third party support, and/or was a more affordable system with lower priced games.

Releasing a system 12 months (or more) after the Wii U, at a higher price, with games that take longer and cost more to develop does not seem like a good strategy for success given recent trends in gaming.

It's a silent acknowledgement of the 3rd party conspiracy. Everyone just knows the third parties will follow Sony and Microsoft down a financially ruinous path at the expense of all economic sense just as they have before, so long as they are indeed following Sony and Microsoft, and not Nintendo.
