i honestly laugh my head off every time i see nintendo fans making these kinds of comments as imo some of the shallowest gameplay i've ever experienced has been from nintendo like 2d mario or dk games ( run forwards and hop over obstacles... very complex )
but regardless i agree with the sentiment that it makes no sense releasing consoles with a slight jump in power over those already out
