Hell yeah, its pretty much a regular control with a touch screen, I would go so far as to say a regular controller had more gaming potential than the wiimote(you could play virtually all genres with a controller, cant say the same for wiimote). I hear alot of people say that the potential for Wiimote was never reached, i say that it didnt really have that much potential in the first place, after the initial awe and shock wears off and you realize that the acutal motion tech behind it was kinda crap and inaccurate

You cant play motion based games with a controller so no, and what are these genres that cant be done with the wii remote?

fighting games for one, withoug making extreme sacrifices, cant see how you can map all 6 SF buttons to the WiiMote. You cant play motion based games with the controller?? Sure you can as long as that controller has motion tech in it, and doesnt the WIipad have that?? it still dont matter because Wii U is backward compatable, everyone wins

Why is SF the barometer for fighting games lol, if anything since Smash is more popular why isnt it. What you are doing is called cherry picking to try to make the Wii remotes look bad. Also i cant believe you just said controllers cant do motion games because they lack the tech, news flash if the Wii remote had more buttons then yea it could do SF. Wiipad has motion tech, and yet still cant be used for motion based games lol. You can ask Ninty and Sony, Ninty used the wii remotes in the video to bat and the pad to catch the ball. Can you imagine waving that controller around like a tennis racket? Sony had motion tech in the PS3 controllers and yet still created Move to play Sport champion. Last but not least the 3DS has the same tech as the Pad except the infrared sensor and yet the 3DS has nothing like Wii sports in its library. So no having motion tech wouldnt have solved the problems controllers have with motion games.

SF is the barometer because it predates Smash for a couple of years and its a traditional fighting game, so the Wiimote is able to play ONE fighting game out of the many series properly, hell Smash with Wiimote sucked IMHO, i just stuck to GC controllers anyway, much better than Wiimote. I said controllers can do motion tech as long as you put the actual tech inside it, not a hard concept to grasp. I never said it was going to solve problems, stop putting words in people mouths. i just said controllers can have motion tech. and they do.

The Wii remote can do traditional controls if it has the tech so whats your point lol. SF is not the barometer whether you like it or not so try again. Since smash sells more then it should be the barometer since we can just make things up.

What you're saying makes no sense as usual. So...have a good day
