Does the WiiU's Gamepad have more potential than the Wiimote?

When I say impact, I meant to say hype and appeal for casuals and for gamers. It'll have a impact, but it wont be as big as what the Wiimote did when it was first unveiled. 

I'm pretty sure the Wii-Mote will be used in future games but the GamePad will obviously be Nintendo's main objective.

@bolded totally agree. But i was really referring to what games could not be done with the wii-mote as i see you mentioned depth of controls with the gamepad
