that makes no sense, the Wiipad is just a controller with a screen, think about it, you dont think that a regular controller has pretty much been mastered? Its going to be much easier to deal with than the wiimote ever was. the sport analogy is all wrong, I dont count those mini game collections as actual sports. Those fall more in line with the minigame compilation. There are really only two sports that really take advantage of the wiimote. Tennis and golf. that is in no way indicative of the actual sports genre. What about the Maddens, Fifas, NBAs, the actual games that are popular? FPS is kind of hit or miss IMHO. Conduit did a good job, but GE? Not so much, had to do alot of heavy tweaking just so i could freaking turn quickly in an online match, which is ironic because it was supposed to be easier than DA |
You know you actually prove my points with your post.
@ Underlined because the wiipad is just a traditional controller (limiting its potential) with a screen on it ,as you said, this proves my point that it will just be used by developers as a traditional controller, they will barely utilize the touch screen in any meaningful way probably only maps and inventory.
@bold 1. The important thing there is YOU, just because YOU don't count them as "sports" game does not mean in any way, shape, or form that their gameplay is not that of sports game. I think its called moving the hockey net or something like that. I could agree with fifa. And actually I think you would need to combine the sales of fifa, madden and NBA to reach wii sports resort.
@bold 2. Again this proves my point about developer misuse, as you said conduit was done good, GE was done bad, is this a fault of the wiimote or the developer???
