It's not a web series. It's a TV show, just featured on a new, and still obscure channel (at least in the USA. In some countries Nick Jr or Cartoon Network carry it). In the US, it's on the channel that replaced Discovery Kids, called HUB. The obscurity of the channel means that a great many bronies have only ever seen the series online, either via iTunes or less legal means. and is developed by Lauren Faust, who is married to Craig McCracken, creator of Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (and she herself did some writing for the former and often served as Director on the latter), and has a few other veterans of Cartoon-Cartoons era CN Studios (or the illustrious Hannah Barbara of the 90s), like Rob Renzetti. |
I was under the impression Hub was like ESPN 3, and was Web based. I stand corrected. I do believe, primarily, that the network is watched on the web though.
