I didn't notice it at all until I had almost beaten the game but, if you play with the 3D turned on, the background gets blurry. It's actually pretty detailed with the 3D turned off.
Like I said, I didn't notice it. I did notice that the 3D in some of the 8-Bit remakes and games like Mutant Mudds and Rayman Origins (demo) look fantastic. The 3D in NSMB2 was shit. Luckily, the game was still top notch (if a little familiar).
