It's not the mention of ponies that is the problem. You say that you're creeped out by us. In your thread asking about why the show was popular, you only posted once, asking why the show was so popular. I believe that many of the fans on this site replied to you, but I didn't notice a reply from you to better explain your thoughts.

So you're creeped out by us. Why? Why does a group of guys liking a show creep you out? If your answer is that it's a girl's show, then why does a group of guys liking a girl's show creep you out? Please do not use the phrase "it's a girl's show" in your answer. If we accept that everyone has different interests, what makes an interest in a girl's show bad? 

If your offended I'm sorry, it's just the way I grew up grown men watching a little girls show is not really acceptable. My god I can't imagine my dad doing this in a million years. The reason it creeps me out so much is probably from the internet molding my mind of seeing to many weird asain people being obsessed with stuff like this, some even going as far as marrying a video game character, or having sex with some anime character on a pillow Dafuq?? I'm not saying you guys are all similar to that but it just seems odd for a grown man liking something like that. Like I said I grew up where men are suppose to me manly and not watch stuff like that, instead go outside chop down some trees and smoke a cigar lol

But ya it's just the way I grew up, if you can't accept my opion of what I think about grown men watching ponies then don't judge me, you guys are kind of the minority, most people would agree with me so it's not like I'm waaaay out of line.

Anyway going way off topic.

Perhaps it isn't off-topic. If members of a community feel driven by machismo or something similar, this is naturally going to be off-putting to most women.
