They are both solidly built, but the only thing I prefer about the PS3 controller is the D-Pad. But I like the 360 controller better in almost every way. It's larger build feels better in my hands, I prefer the triggers over the musshy L&R2 buttons on the PS3. I prefer the D-Pad below the analog on the left side of the controller, since the D-Pad is used for secondary purposes in most games now. PS3 has a much better remote control though, I hate that the 360 one is infrared.
