If I were given a choice between 1080p at 30fps and 640p at 60fps, I'll gladly take the latter. Gameplay is more important for a game. Besides it would really suck if Dante's/Nero's combo suddenly lagged because of special effects.
The only reason Sakurai allowed Snake is because he was already a clone
