Yup! We would be 2055 total with the two North Korean tests in 2006 and 2009. Regarding the French, yeah their numbers are quite surprising especially when compared to the UK. Despite starting testing 8 years after the UK, they were able to pull more than 4 times the number of nuclear tests.
Then again, if you look at the the more "civilized" side of nuclear energy, you will see that France is very dependent on nuclear energy. If I'm not mistaken, they generate 75% of their electricity from nuclear power plants.
