Ms doesnt help pc because there is no competition. Its not the otger way round. Pc devs are then more on the line. Sure maybe this results in more exertion to making a selling game, but you must also realize the sheer number of crap pc games. So much so that the only thing that really saved the pc market, was steam.

Thats the thing. It is not proven thar the move to multiplat IN EVERY CASE will sell substantially enough to cover tge associated costs. Like i said exclusivity tends to add 10-20% sales on that one platform, for a variety of reasons including but not limited to, multiple console owners choosing which system to buy the title for. Look at ff13. Ps3 5.8m 360 sells 2m. 20% would result in an extra 1.16 m sold on ps3. So the question is, was ff13 profitable on 900k games sold on 360 alone.
the case is even worse with ff13-2. This is further compounded by se admitting that they cut out portions of the game to fit the dvd size constraint. The game might not have bwen absolutely wrangled for its linearity and might have sold more as a result so maybe potentially 30% more.
this is the inherent problem with many arguments about exclusivity. Exclusivvity is never called "the best solution" by proonents. It is a good solution depending on the circumstance. Obviously a game like cod sells best as multiplat, but others sell and perform much better as single plat. Adding to my previous arguments in many but not all circumstances exclusivity coupled with multiple consoles is the way to go.
