It's mostly fanboyism, really. I genuinely dislike the other consoles so I would rather that people who play on other consoles buy my console of preference in order to get decent games instead of these games going to other consoles.
Mind you, no third party game I care about has left Nintendo's side since I've been playing, but you can bet I'll throw a tantrum if Dragon Quest or some other third party franchise I like decides to go to other consoles.
