1) Let's take the USA and the EU, roughly the same population. One have a high percentage practices of circumcision, in the other it very rare. STDs are higher in the one with the high practice.
2) Circumcision is big business in the USA estimated to be well over $1bn to doctors and hospitals, of course they are going to promote it.
3) If the foreskin wasn't useful evolution would have likely dropped it. Hair, nails etc all play important biological roles.
I am really glad this stupid practice of circumcising babies is extremely rare in western europe unlike the USA for example.
If a person thinks it is suitable then he should be given the right to make the the decision himself when he is at a suitable age.
