Cutting off children’s legs may have benefits for them if they become morbidly obese and develop type 2 diabetes ... I don't think you'd argue for that procedure when the obvious correct action would be to prevent these children from becoming morbidly obese.
In the western world we have far better options for the prevention and treatment of the problems circumcision is supposed to aid, so there is no legitimate reason why circumcision should be promoted for health reasons.
