"For better or for worse, Vita will be pitted against the Nintendo 3DS. But the comparison doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and even if you were to pit them against each other, Vita is still destined to sell better. "

Two months before launch. People were quite optimistic about Vita. The price at E3 was a god given gift to most. Heck, everybody here expected better, by little or by much . I know I did.

Wow, Moriarty was extremely dismissive of the 3DS and even hostile almost.

I wonder what he is saying now that the Vita is struggling to sell past 2mil units worldwide nearly 9 months after releasing in Japan.  Honestly,  2 mil sold is a dysmal figure especially seeing how many big guns (many of the gaming press were touting the best launch games ever the article is one of them) the system had during it's launch window.  It's quite funny how low expectations are for the system which many are hoping to hit 5-6mil by Sony's fiscal year March2013; in which the system will be 12-15 months old (depending on who you ask).  That's in stark contrast to Sony who had hoped to sell 10 mil units which was already a low figure for a system that's been released that long.
