He has the right idea on most of them, the only one I have real issue with is the 20+ year old one.

Yes, someone does still own the rights to all those SNES or hard to find PS1 games we love, but when I pay $100+ for Suikoden II, that isn't going to that rights holder at all and at the end of the day I'm just not going to pay $100+ for a game.

And that example is even for a game I can find (it's relatively easy to find Suikoden II despite the cost), but what about those games you simply cannot find because they are so rare? I haven't seen a physical copy of Earthbound for years and I have looked (and I don't count eBay or other online sources because I want to see my classic games). Then of course there are simply impossible games across all old consoles.

So yeah, if someone like Earthbound or Suikoden II ever does become available, I'll gladly buy them, but they're otherwise not available. I'm thoroughly against piracy for any game this gen, but anything before last gen, I don't have so much of a problem. Even a lot of last gen games are a grey area for me.
